The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is expanding its reach in India’s tourism market with a significant presence at the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) 2025, taking place from January 30 to February 1 at the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai.
This initiative is part of TAT’s strategy to boost business opportunities and stimulate high-quality tourism, in line with the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025. The goal is to attract over 2.3 million Indian tourists to Thailand by 2025.
Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, Executive Director of TAT’s Northern Region and Deputy Governor for Asia and the South Pacific market, emphasized that OTM 2025 is a key event for tourism promotion in South Asia.

TAT’s 156-square-metre booth focused on “Sustainable and Luxury” tourism, showcasing Thailand’s appeal through the “5 Must-Do in Thailand” concept. The booth featured 30 Thai tourism operators, including tour companies, hotels, attractions, and golf courses, aimed at fostering trade negotiations and establishing strategic business ties.
The opening ceremony on January 30 was officiated by Donnawit Poolsawat, Consul-General of Thailand in Mumbai, alongside senior TAT executives and government agency representatives. The event featured a range of marketing activities, including business discussions, special promotions for the wedding and corporate sectors, and the distribution of tourism information. Live cultural demonstrations, such as garland-making and spider silk balloon crafting, provided visitors with a glimpse of Thailand’s rich heritage.
