Lufthansa is extending its Airbus A380 service on the Munich-Bangkok route through 25 April 2025 in response to strong passenger demand, particularly during Thailand’s Songkran holiday season.

The German airline’s flagship aircraft, known for its spacious cabins and advanced amenities, will operate additional flights on this route starting in early April 2025, coinciding with Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year celebration. The festival attracts millions of travellers domestically and internationally, prompting Lufthansa to increase capacity on the route.

Lufthansa’s move underscores its commitment to enhancing long-haul travel between Europe and Thailand. The airline, which recently marked 65 years of connecting Thailand and Germany, is part of the Lufthansa Group, which operates up to 31 weekly flights between Thailand and Europe.
