The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has officially opened applications for the 15th Thailand Tourism Awards, an esteemed event recognizing the top 100 Thai tourism businesses for their exceptional quality and service. The application period runs from February 28 to April 30, 2025.
This year’s awards coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Thailand Tourism Awards and introduce a new category: the Thailand Tourism Sustainability Awards, which honors businesses excelling in sustainable tourism management. TAT aims to enhance Thailand’s global competitiveness by spotlighting tourism businesses that combine high quality with responsible practices, particularly ahead of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025.
At a press conference in Bangkok, TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool emphasized that the awards are part of a broader strategy to elevate Thailand’s tourism offerings.

“The Thailand Tourism Awards have always recognized businesses that meet international standards of excellence. With the addition of the sustainability category, we are taking a more holistic approach, rewarding those leading in responsible tourism,” she said.
The Sustainability Awards will focus on operators demonstrating outstanding sustainability practices. To qualify, businesses must score above 90% in the Sustainability and Responsibility Excellence criteria, ensuring they meet high environmental and social responsibility standards.
The 15th Thailand Tourism Awards will feature five categories: Tourist Attractions, Tourist Accommodation, Health Tourism, Tour Operators, and Organizations Supporting Sustainable Tourism. Each category includes four award levels: the Thailand Tourism Excellence Awards, the Thailand Tourism Outstanding Awards, the Hall of Fame (for businesses winning the Excellence Award three consecutive times), and the newly introduced Thailand Tourism Sustainability Awards.
