Awakening Bangkok 2024 returns for its seventh year, transforming the capital into a playground of light, art, and community spirit from 8 to 17 November.

This year’s theme, “One Light, One Rises: Revitalizing the Community, Inspiring the People,” sets the tone for an event dedicated to reconnecting Bangkok’s neighborhoods through creativity and inspiration. Expect to be captivated by light installations and digital art pieces that bring fresh energy to the city’s historic streets.

Awakening Bangkok 2024 features six main sites, each one offering a unique setting for the displays. Yodpiman River Walk and Yodpiman Market, located along the Chao Phraya River, anchor the route with eight impressive installations spread across two levels. A short walk away, Pak Khlong Talat and the nearby pier add four more installations, setting an enchanting start to the journey through Bangkok’s old town.

Sanam Chai Road leads visitors past the Museum Siam and into the lush green of Saranrom Park, where nine installations light up the park’s canopy. The route continues along Fueang Nakhon Road, with more installations scattered through the narrow streets of Phraeng Phuthon and Phraeng Nara. From there, the historic Bangkok City Hall opens the final path to Rommaninat Park, where this year’s five new installations round off the experience.

Beyond the installations, Awakening Bangkok invites visitors to dive into the local flavor. Lining the route are cozy cafés, street food vendors, restaurants, and bars where you can pause to refuel and support small businesses. Drink stations by Schweppes provide refreshing stops between installations, adding a welcome break as you explore.
