Savour the Fresh Flavours of the Monsoon at The Siam Tea Room
The monsoon season, a time of rejuvenation and abundance in Thailand, breathes life into the kingdom’s rice fields, vegetable farms, herb gardens, and fruit orchards. To celebrate this vibrant season, The Siam Tea Room at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park presents the “Monsoon Flavours” promotion, offering a culinary journey that captures the essence of Thailand’s rainy season.
Experience the Bounty of the Monsoon
From 1 August to 30 September 2024, The Siam Tea Room, an authentic Thai restaurant and casual café, invites guests to escape the rain and indulge in a series of special dishes crafted with ingredients that flourish during these lush months. Rediscover six traditional Thai recipes, including five savoury dishes and one sweet treat, each showcasing rare and seasonal ingredients.
A Feast for the Senses
Lovers of traditional Thai cuisine will delight in light yet spicy appetisers such as paco fern salad with minced pork, shrimp, and crispy shallots (THB 310), and shrimp paste chilli dip with seasonal vegetables and fried Thai mackerel (THB 320). Local flowers and vegetables take centre stage in dishes like stir-fried “kha chon” flowers (cowslip creeper) with salted egg and white shrimp (THB 320), and sour soup with Thai mackerel, “Sa No” flowers (sesbania), and sea catfish roe (THB 480). The menu also features a Thai classic infused with the flavours of the rainy season: green curry with free-range chicken and young bamboo shoots (THB 350).
