Chef Miguel Blanco Díaz-Cardama Presents the Flavours of Spain at Goji Kitchen + Bar from 19-28 July.

Goji Kitchen + Bar, the acclaimed international culinary marketplace at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, invites hotel guests and local residents to embark on an epicurean journey to Spain this July. This exclusive culinary event features Chef Miguel Blanco Díaz-Cardama, the highly-skilled Executive Sous Chef from Hotel Arts Barcelona.

Chef Miguel, a passionate gastronomic expert with over 17 years of professional experience in fine-dining destinations, Michelin-starred restaurants, and five-star hotels across Europe and North America, including Marriott’s prestigious Ritz-Carlton and W Hotels brands, brings a wealth of expertise to the table. For 10 days, from 19-28 July 2024, he will delight diners at Goji Kitchen + Bar with a selection of authentic Spanish delicacies, crafted using the finest local and imported ingredients.

In the vibrant, social spirit of Spanish cuisine, guests can savour six hot and cold tapas plates, including:

– Brandada de Bacalao y Miel de Romero (whipped salt cod with rosemary & honey)

– Empanada Gallega (Galician pie)

– Salmorejo Cordobés, Huevo y Jamón Serrano (Andalusian tomato soup with egg & serrano ham)

– Escalivada Anchoas e Idiazábal Crujiente (roasted vegetables with anchovies and crumbled Idiazábal cheese)

– Patatas Bravas Catalanas (Catalan devilled potatoes)

– Bikini de Jamón Serrano y Trufa (serrano ham & truffle sandwich)

The food served in the Restaurant Car is cold, and the beer is warm. We turn up at the restaurant in the morning, and the carriage is empty. A hot coffee is out of the question. Bottled water is not available, and neither the power of US dollar bills nor the Chinese Yuan is going to change that.

Additionally, diners can enjoy premium Spanish cold cuts, cheeses, and marinated olives. Chef Miguel will also present his signature dishes, including Suquet de Gamba Roja y Merluza con Codium (traditional fish stew with hake, red prawns & codium), and two types of Spanish paella: Paella de Marisco (seafood paella) and Paella de Pollo (chicken paella).
