Commencing on October 1, for a limited time only, this exclusive menu will showcase an array of tantalising dishes that highlight this exceptional ingredient. Highly revered in Thai cuisine, these gigantic prawns are sourced directly from the “River of Kings” in Ayutthaya, just a short journey upriver from Bangkok.

Now, under the culinary expertise of Chef Aunkool “Aony” Poolpipat and her accomplished team at The Siam Tea Room, patrons can delight in five authentic Thai dishes that feature these locally and sustainably sourced Thai river prawns.

Highly prized in Thai cuisine, the river prawns are sourced from the “River of Kings” in Ayutthaya, a short trip from Bangkok.

Diners can savor Grilled Ayutthaya River Prawns served with a tantalizing chili-lime dipping sauce and fish sauce (priced at THB 2,360), or opt for Fried River Prawns seasoned with garlic, coriander root, and pepper, mixed with prawn fat and crispy fried Thai garlic (also THB 2,360). Another delectable choice is Fried River Prawns complemented by tamarind sauce, pickled garlic, fried shallots, and crispy chili (THB 2,360).

Alternatively, guests can explore two exceptional Thai curry offerings: Charcoal Grilled Jumbo River Prawns accompanied by betel leaf crab curry noodles (THB 1,250), and Chu Chee River Prawns – River Prawns charcoal-grilled to perfection, smothered in a rich red curry, and adorned with chili and fragrant kaffir lime leaves (THB 990).
