Ghibli Park is gearing up for the highly anticipated second phase amidst unprecedented ticket demand.

Since its grand opening in November 2022, ticket scarcity has persisted, a testament to the enduring appeal of Ghibli’s enchanting worlds.

Located in Nagakute city, a three-hour train ride from Tokyo, Ghibli Park eschews traditional rides in favor of offering visitors a chance to “Take a stroll, feel the wind, and discover the wonders.” The first phase includes zones featuring iconic characters like the soot spirits from “My Neighbor Totoro” and the enigmatic No-Face from “Spirited Away.”

The upcoming second phase, coinciding with the release of Ghibli’s “The Boy and the Heron,” will transport visitors to the ironworkers’ village from “Princess Mononoke” and the mesmerizing Valley of the Witches.

Notably, the latter will house a two-story replica of “Howl’s Moving Castle,” set to open in March 2024. As fans eagerly anticipate these additions, Ghibli Park continues to be a captivating homage to the imaginative essence of Japan’s landscapes.
