Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) unveils ‘Amazing Organic Trip’ in Chiang Mai and Phuket in order to elevate sustainable tourism with promising organic food experience.

With commitment to sustainable tourism practices in Thailand, TAT’s ‘Amazing Organic Trip’ is meticulously curated in collaboration with esteemed partners. This extraordinary venture involves key stakeholders including the Thai Ecotourism and Adventure Travel Association (TEATA), Thai Organic Consumer Association (TOCA), SiamRise Travel, FIND FOLK, Golfdigg, and the vibrant local tourism communities. Together, they have crafted immersive, eco-conscious itineraries that showcase the very best of Chiang Mai and Phuket.

“The ‘Amazing Organic Trip’ embodies our unwavering commitment to infuse sustainability into tourism, spotlighting the essence of responsible travel within community-based initiatives. It perfectly mirrors our strategy of promoting organic tourism while forging a robust synergy between agriculture and tourism – two  integral pillars of Thailand’s thriving economy,”  says Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor.

Chiang Mai’s ‘Amazing Organic Trip’ casts a spotlight on the Mae Tha Community in Mae On District, celebrated for three generations as a beacon of organic farming excellence. Here, visitors will delve into the world of eco-friendly agricultural practices that safeguard the community’s verdant forests, precious water resources, and delicate ecosystem. Notably, the organic produce nurtured in Mae Tha is the source of supply for local shops and restaurants, showcasing a harmonious relationship between agriculture and culinary delights.

Enthusiastic travellers are invited to immerse themselves in health-oriented cooking classes that celebrate the local bounty. A remarkable highlight is the ‘Chef’s Table with the “PM2.5 Reduction Menu”, a culinary masterpiece showcasing ingredients sourced from the immediate surroundings. From succulent grilled fish paired with native vegetables to the zesty burst of flavours in the spicy local vegetables salad, each dish exemplifies a commitment to the ethos of organic and sustainable dining.
