Chef José Saulog, one of Sydney’s leading chefs, is coming to The Crystal Grill House on the Chao Phraya River for a pop-up dinner.
The Crystal Grill House, a fine dining restaurant on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, will host a five-course dinner paired with fine Australian wines. Orchestrated by Chef José Saulog from Australia, the promising dinner features premium Southern Ranges grass-fed beef from Victoria and black truffles from Western Australia.
This culinary journey will begin with a bavette & foie gras taco, followed by Southern Ranges rump cap beef carpaccio with pickled shimeji and fresh Australian black truffle, all paired with a glass of Bin 138 Shiraz Grenache Mataro, a full-bodied red wine.
The entree is followed by a seafood dish of glacier 51 toothfish with sunrise lime, accompanied by a glass of Bin 311 Chardonnay, a fruity white wine with citrus notes.
The main course is a sensational Southern Ranges Scotch fillet, cooked to perfection and served with a traditional Bordelaise sauce, cauliflower & Australian truffle gratin, and beef fat potatoes. The rich and intense Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz red wine is the perfect complement.
The lovely evening concludes with an original dessert, a honey & truffle ice cream sandwich made with Truffle Hill’s Australian black truffles.
Chef José blends the best traditions of European cuisine with a proud Australian heritage. Under his leadership, Franca Brasserie and Parlar both achieved two hats in the 2023 SMH Good Food Guide. This makes him the perfect partner for The Crystal Grill House, which opened earlier this year and is quickly establishing a reputation as one of Bangkok’s most sought-after dining destinations.
